XRP News: 421 million XRP Moved as Price Spikes by 15% Over Week
XRP News: XRP is Ripple’s native cryptocurrency and has managed to grow despite the market collapse. This surge is influenced by many factors, including the SEC vs Ripple lawsuit. Crypto whales have been able to add more XRP due to case-related updates.
Whalestats reports that the largest crypto whales have moved more than 421,000,000 XRP during the price rise. In the last 24 hours, whales have moved approximately $170 million worth XRP.
Whales purchased 139 million XRP from Bitstamp crypto exchange, which is approximately $56 million. The largest accumulation transaction was the addition of $24.3 million worth XRP tokens to the same platform.
A whale, however, moved 162.5 million XRP ($65.1 million) from an unknown wallet. This transaction shows that the whale is awaiting positive XRP news.
Over the past week, XRP prices have risen by more than 15%. At press time, it trades at $0.41 on average. However, the XRP price experienced a price rise of 9% on Friday, while other tokens were printing red indicators. Despite legal challenges from SEC, Ripple’s native token still has a market cap exceeding $20.4 billion.
