This upgrade will improve security for developers of cross-chain decentralized applications (DApp) development. Security is enhanced by Cardano’s native access to multi-signature designs. Cardano’s team has already indicated that there will be minimal impact from the mainnet upgrade.

Cardano (ADA), which was purchased by whales in the face of a rebounding crypto market, did exceptionally well. ADA was the most popular cryptocurrency purchased by whales in 2023. The mainnet upgrade is scheduled for February 14, at 21:44 UTC. The Cardano Valentine SECP mainnet fork will occur at the beginning epoch 394 at 21:44 UTC. It will be around absolute slot height 84844800 and estimated block height 8403208.

The Cardano (ADA), community is excited about the upgrade. This is evident in the increase in trading volume during the transition. According to CoinGape’s price tracker, ADA price is at $0.380025 as of writing. This is nearly 9% higher than the previous 24 hours.
