SBF to be Arrested During A House Testimony Visit To the U.S.
After days of drama and tweet exchanges, Sam Bankman Fried, former CEO of FTX has finally stated that he will testify at a hearing held by the United States Senate to investigate the failures of FTX. Experts warn that his trip to the U.S. may result in an arrest.
FTX Ready to Testify
A Senate Banking Committee hearing was scheduled for this week on FTX’s bankruptcy. However, Bankman-Fried missed the deadline to respond the committee’s invitation. After Maxine Waters, a California representative threatened to subpoena Bankman-Fried, he agreed to testify before a House committee.

Braden Perry, a former senior attorney for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s trial team, says that SBF is unlikely to step on U.S. soil soon. He also stated that,

I believe he will testify remotely, and not in the U.S. I would be shocked if he comes through the door Tuesday.
Perry stated that Bankman-Fried could be taken into custody by the United States should he enter the country. He also stated that Bankman-Fried, the former CEO and founder of FTX, should be concerned about being taken to prison at any time after landing in the United States.

According to Michael Zweiback, a Los Angeles-based criminal defence attorney, Perry also agreed with his views. Zweiback further commented:
The truth is that the Southern District of [New York] could make an arrest based on probable cause based on a complaint and then pursue a grand jury indictment.
SBF Charges Increase
Coingape reported that the federal prosecutors in Manhattan are now investigating whether Bankman-Fried manipulated prices for the cryptocurrencies TerraUSD, LUNA to benefit FTX as well as his Alameda hedge funds.
