Ripple Seeks to Boost Its Operations in Ireland

According to CNBC, Ripple seeks a virtual service provider license from Ireland to expand its operations in Europe. This is according to Stuart Alderoty, the general counsel of the company. The company, which is based in the United States, is currently in a dispute at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Alderoty stated that:
“Essentially, its customers, and its revenue, are all driven out of the U.S., despite the fact that we still have many employees in the US.”
Alderoty stated that Ripple would be able “passport” its European licence to the 27 other states of the union when new regulations on crypto regulation in Europe take effect in 2024.
