Optimism Announces the Migration of Goerli Network to Bedrock To Be Public On December 13

Optimism is Ethereum’s second-layer network. A public rehearsal to move Optimism Goerli from Bedrock will be held at 2:00 p.m. December 13. Optimism’s branch will perform an hour-long, end-to-end migration of both the L1 Goerli, and Goerli networks. After the preview, the forked OptimismGoerli network will become Bedrock. This migration guide is primarily for infrastructure providers as well as running nodes. Cannon, an interactive fault-proof system, will use Bedrock for its backbone. Its benefits include lower transaction fees, higher maximum throughput, and faster node synchronization.Prior to May, the firm introduced Bedrock, a new decentralized Rollup architecture that reused as much as could of Ethereum’s code, infrastructure, and design patterns, and stated that “EVM equivalent” is a thing of the past, and what Bedrock delivers is “Ethereum equal.”DISCLAIMER: The Information on this website is provided as general market commentary and does not constitute investment advice.
