DOJ: OneCoin co-founder plead guilty to wire fraud and money laundering
According to the Department of Justice Karl Sebastian Greenwood was found guilty of wire fraud and money laundering in connection to the OneCoin scam. OneCoin promotional materials claim that over three million people had invested in fraudulent cryptocurrency packages. The two perpetrators ran a multibillion dollar worldwide fraud.
Greenwood and his conspirators, including Ruja Ignatova (fugitive), conned unsuspecting victim out of billions, claiming OneCoin would be ‘Bitcoin’s killer’. In reality, OneCoins are completely worthless.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said that emails between Ignatova, Greenwood and their respective clients provide evidence of a scheme designed to defraud investors. They plotted and communicated to imitate volatility and fix exchange rates.
You can take the money and run, and then blame someone else. These people are stupid, and I was told by you that the network wouldn’t work without intelligent people.
