An analyst attributes this increase to the increased use of the platforms. FIL, Filecoin’s native utility, has been one of the top performers. It jumped from $5 a week ago to $8.10 Tuesday, a more than 62% increase. Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH), have increased by 9% (and 6%, respectively) in the past seven days. This is well above expectations and surpassing benchmarks of $24,026 (and $1636 respectively). FIL’s rise coincides with Filecoin’s March launch of its Filecoin Virtual Machine, (FVM). It is expected to facilitate “new apps for smart contracts,” which will lead to greater utilization.
