Brian Armstrong, Coinbase’s Co-Founder and CEO stated in a tweet that Coinbase holds approximately 2 million Bitcoin. This amount is estimated at $39.9 trillion as of 30 September 2022. CZ had tweeted “news reports” before Coinbase’s statement that it held 2M BTC.
Coinbase Custody has 635K Bitcoin for Grayscale. Coinbase had less that 600K BTC four months ago.
The tweet was deleted by Binance’s CEO after he posted it for a while. This was due to the incorrect number BTC holdings. Brian Armstrong claimed that the crypto exchange held just shy of 2.000.000 BTC, which is nearly $39.9 Billion as of 30 September.
