Greg Solano, founder of Yuga Labs, announced on February 18 that he would alter the logo design of Bored Ape Kennel Club. This was in response to allegations of image plagiarism from Easy Drawing Guides and copyright infringement by Easy Drawing Tutorials. The official Easy Drawing Tutorial Twitter account posted an image of a nearly identical wolf skull three months prior, in April 2021. Solano claims that the collection was created to raise money for charities from the beginning and has raised over $1 million. Ryder Ripps also denounced the BAYC collection, which swept the market, as racist and promoting Nazism.
